Title Insurance Massachusetts

Title Insurance MassachusettsIs it true your friend needs your car title to pay your auto insurance in Massachusetts? ?

I live in Massachusetts, but I will be out of state for about three months and I asked my friend to make payments on my car insurance for me while I'm gone. He later told me he could not make the payments, because they need my car title to let them pay for me. Is this true or false?

I suggest you call a local car insurance agent to help you. Since I live in Michigan, I can not recommend anyone in Massachusetts, but here is an online resource that can help you. http://www.goodinternetdeals.com/Auto-Insurance.html

Good Luck.

It is false. All your friend needs to do is send a payment with a payment stub. Insurance companies do not care who pays as long as payment is made. If he presents a check to make sure that your policy number and your name appears on the memo.

Edit: Even if he pay in person, than he needs is your policy number and name. It is very strange that he would ask for your title. From there, after trying to take everything you say with a grain of salt. I mean if he has the nerve to ask for your respect, God knows what he might do.

Your friend is feeding you a line of BS, I'd be very suspicious of his motives. Why do not you just send the insurance company a check or money order for monthly payments? This guy is something, and it does not look like it will be in your best interests.
