Senior Citizen self-designed homes? If you had the chance to help design a new group home for the collection of more than 50 years with a minimum of medicine, but still a safe place, what would you like at home? Assuming we have a beautiful kitchen and other commodities, for our age group that would be great?
Garage for you guys to do your work by car? small dance floor for parties? How to make a garden (ok, that's me) And a sunroof, no doubt also environmentally friendly.
uh, keep it clean - we do not want children to see!
hmmm, first, the attention to detail is important to me. Plumbing fixtures easy to use, the door knobs easy to use. The halls and wide aisles and free of clutter? Are there adequate handrails? Storage spaces within easy reach? of smoke, fire and carbon monoxide detectors positioned and operational? Are the floors level and without hazards such as uneven surfaces or edges of carpet? Is it easy to maneuver in the bathroom?
I like your idea of a garden, how about adding some garden furniture and places to nest in the garden paths, garden tables and chairs, lighting, maybe even a gazebo or covered porch / patio.
Internet access, maybe a router so that people could do more e-mail or surf the Internet at once.
A combination game room, library music room. A room with tables and chairs where people could gather to play games, share books and magazines, and maybe sing or play musical instruments or listen to CDs.
A combination of craft and workshop space. Include benches, tables, cabinets, Easal, and perhaps even the display shelves. Good air and lighting.
Your ideas sound fun, good luck!
Good luck to you! I hope you can build, not the lottery or lotteries ...:) Report Abuse
I AM hearing impaired for elderly. I see the light flashing design features throughout the house. Ttys videophones and be fine.
We need a large library and reading books on tape too.
Absolutely an exercise room, lots of accent lighting, electrical outlets lighting than is available when needed, a pool, many more than 50 years as to make the exercises, and Plain old swimming, wide field of activities to ensure good weather could be held outdoors, so wide paved pathways, last but not least pets
Do not forget those easy to turn the handles instead of doorknobs, great lighting, flooring and comfortable slip throughout to help us.
Two beautiful living rooms where families visit and need / want privacy. Large bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, nice patio for outdoor gatherings.
Swimming pool, tennis, bowling night (no bingo) garden would be great. I herbs (herbs legal for big brother always watching), tomatoes & m peppers.I 'from lettuce tomorrow.
Pet! No place seems to allow more pets. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats. I have to rescue all my life and can not imagine living without animals in my life.
Speaking of animals, what about horses? I can not do heavy work, but could brush and clean them and their hooves.
Lake or river for fishing, swimming, boating.
Bar. Nice bar, with a different type of music each night so that everyone gets what he wants.
Comedy. I would not have survived so long without him.
I am not far from the first rank and status of work in a society that is not the medical care of older people mainly.
I see many common areas to mingle in a game room that allows card games, billiards, board games or any other group they wish, a chamber music / film with a stereo system perfect for dancing or comfort permits.
