I would not bother if I were you! This place is full of thieves, intrigists the crime ....! etc. etc. You will be surprised to meet Spanish, depending on where you choose live course.
Do really well before you. My parents lived there (Altea) for 20 years and I have been there every year at least once since!

I'm Spanish, and thousands of people choose to Spain for life because it is a nice place with nice people, but of course we must be cautious of companies, such as the United Kingdom and the rest of the world and not crowded places are much better (but you must speak Spanish)
