Old Farmhouse Plans

Old Farmhouse PlansHow can I get rust off an old farm dinner bell?

The dinner bell is old and the family farm of origin. I would find a way to get the rust of it, but it should also be soft, it is old. Sanding is the only method I know, but it seems rather harsh. We plan to put it on the screen at least, and again in the Commission. Ideas?

The best way to find a local body shop to see if they can sand, it blows
then prime and paint

If you want to preserve the integrity of the bell and antique charm, do not try to remove all rust. Just beautiful carpets soaked steel wool with a penetrating oil and rub the bell with steel wool. Who will remove the roughness, but should allow the "patina" to stay. Really - it will be much more charming and attractive.

Tools
cola soda
bowl [big enough for the bell to go inside]
cloth
Pour coca-cola in the dropdown menu to the bowl inside the bell for 1 hour or two, then rub with the cloth, then it must be clean.
If not
Take a pad of steel wool is not a block Brillo and some WD-40 spray WD-40 and gently rub with steel wool.
