Do log homes contribute to deforestation? I've always been fascinated by the beauty of log homes and dream of owning or building one in the near future, however, I will reconsider the matter if the house with such contributing to deforestation.
Does anyone know if or not it will cause deforestation?
Thank you!
Most homes in North America are made from wood in one form or another, being a newspaper form.Old forests have their problems, however, the forest as borealis were destroyed by fire and rebuilt for a very long. When you build your house you will store carbon in the newspaper and make way for new growth to take carbon from the air so you might even be helping the planet by building a log house Good luck enjoy your home
Hmmm, let's see. You want a longhouse, the logs are from trees that were cut from the forest.
Thus, it seems that you might hurt the forest, taking trees --- wrong by removing selected trees, you actually do the forest better, which allows the remaining trees more light and water ---- also provides jobs for people so maybe they can buy / consume what you produce.
Build your dream home and live happily ever after
