A new house under warranty. 2nd bdrm above garage is not insulated. What can I do to get the manufacturer to repair? The house was constructed 4 years ago. I am the original owner. It was built before I was looking for a house. The constructor seems reluctant to make a correction. He says I should get heater for the room. The insulation can be added if they lower ceiling in the garage and insulation between the ceiling suddenly new and original.
I think if you look closely at your plans you will find that the walls and cieling area around the garages are rarely (in 48 states in the United States is not the 57 Knowes Obama) isolated. The reason is simple not really need heating in the garage if all thats going to be in the car it is. So no one would even insulate above, unless you specd. there in the building / proposal and paid for it, then that's another can of worms.
Also Im not on how the top U.S. and Canada and the Handel and garages as they can be isolated as Alaska? Again, who needs a garage in Alaska? Just more door to shovel snow from.
You must read the guarantee was given to you or a lawyer review for you to see what the manufacturer is required to do so.
Good luck.
if the specifications call for the isolation and didn't do sue .....
