House Plans Online

I intend to build a house in the near future and I want to know if anyone has used any house plans that are sold through various websites. I want to know what their experiences were.

I have not built a house before and I'm not necessarily trying to save on architect's fees. However, I saw a house plans online that I really like and I wonder if there is a downside to using one of them.

www.eplans.com www.dreamhomesource.com and are good sources for a wide variety of house plans. Even if it costs a little more, you can even customize the plan, as you would with an architect. I used several other options they provided as to obtain a construction cost calculator, list of materials, etc. that really made the process easier to understand. Check it out - it's just fun to watch all the plans!

I've never bought one of these plans, but I think if you like you can buy and customize an architect. This should save you time and money.
