Home Owners Warranty CorporationStart up issue with Windows Vista?

Before you start the computer in question is an Acer Aspire 5730Z with Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit installed.

To go straight to the point, I was playing a game, especially the beta of Quake Live, where the game freezes into a laptop. Like everyone else I preformed a forced shutdown by pressing the power button. After restarting my computer, I was introduced to the screen that gave me one of the following:

Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Start Windows Normally

I choose "Start Windows normally" because I had no loss of data that I needed to recover. bar transition from "Microsoft Corporation loading", at the Vista logo to connect to the longer than usual, but I expected. Once I entered my password to log in, I noticed he took a load obscene, or at least longer than anticipated. Finally, he went to wish you welcome to "prepare your desktop (<--- or something to that degree). After a few minutes, my baby is solid blue screen with my mouse cursor stays on the screen and operation. After a few more minutes my mouse has disappeared and the computer has not advanced along or something like that.

I forced my computer reset again and was presented with the same screen as the last reboot. This time I choose "Safe Mode with Networking". In doing that Windows has started a list of different drivers loading and then stopped by "Please wait" appears in the lower left corner of the screen. And so I did ... for 20 minutes.

Once again, forced to reset. However, this time, I was greeted with only two options:

Launch Startup Repair (recommended),
Start Windows Normally

Option A received the computer from the initial loading bar, but the screen goes black and then stays that way.

Option B is simply a loop on the loading screen.

I know that if Acer had shipped with a recovery disk system would be solved now (pop in the disc, click "restore" the system, etc..) But they did not, instead, I believe that it enables a "restore partition on my C: drive.

I'm under warranty, therefore I know I could just pretend naivitae Acer, send them the laptop and they would do for me. I am not afraid to have my C: drive wiped since I keep my games and things like multimedia laptop D: drive (even if I am concerned that, "on fixing the issue they will dig in my files, but I'm just really paranoid like that).

So my question (s) are:

1. Is it possible for me to solve this problem with the state I am, that is to say, without a recovery disk system with a potential recovery partition?

2. Is that Acer fix something like that if the owner is under warranty or not?

3. I am too paranoid about people looking through my stuff?

If any other information is needed, please let me know.

Thank you in advance.

I would try to restore the computer to factory settings. Also, you should have a warranty for at least one year on all hardware and software problems. I have an HP laptop, and the motherboard went out on him, and they sent me a new laptop brand. So I would contact support manufacturing and see what they think it is. Im sure they will disturb the turn with you.

Phew, it's a difficult situation. I feel for you, as I've seen this happen several times with my own builds along with other PC I have set for people.

You have corrupted some system files on the hard drive by reducing the power suddenly.

I would normally tell you to run chkdsk. It may be just what you need to do to repair the corrupted files (yes chkdsk does actually work well). However, you do not have a retail Windows disk you can not access the rec.
