Custom house plans? I work for a homebuilder and I'm working on new ideas for floorplan. When buying a new home what are the characteristics that make / break a home for you? Is there something specific that you seek when you tour prospective homes? Please keep in mind that these homes are sold at mid-high range for our region. What are the average number of bedrooms and baths you need? Is there a specific finishing kitchen cabinet or finish granite you are looking for? Any comments would be greatly appreciated as we build spec houses mainly going on the market and then have to appeal to the mass of homebuyers.
when you look at the houses, there was always a part that has sold the house. make a piece specially. I think where the whole family gets together, a kitchen, den, game room and make it as special as you have something unique there that you just can not see in every home .... still 2 1 / 2 bathroom. not too big or too small just right ....
Thank you and I sincerely hope it helped. Flag
cupboards ... LOTS of closets. Especially a locker near the door.
Kitchen Cabinets .... Many closets.
Pantry ... Lots shelves
bedrooms - ceiling fan with light - (I hate installing these things)
I recently finished remodeling my first home. What today is looking for the buyer is livable square footage, I found that the removal of a garage and just adding another room appears to be most beneficial. Also as mentioned above is also a plus closet, large open spaces are also attractive to consumers today.
