Craftsman House Plans

My grandfather built his own house in the 50s to the 60s and built it based on plans he found in a magazine. But I certainly will not find this magazine. I would try to find those plans. Does anyone know what magazine he would have seen? What these magazines had? Someone told me it was the Popular Mechanics .. but I find nothing to support that Popular Mechanics had house plans. Perhaps he found the plans announced in Popular Mechanics?

Any info would be appreciated ..

It is a fairly modern looking home .. She had a kind of vibration of the craftsman .. but he did not really design elements craft, I do not think ..
