Where can I get a commercial mortgage on a leasehold? Any idea where can I get a commercial mortgage on a leasehold property. I will have a 50% deposit on the property but wants the Othe 50% as a mortgage. Although I have a commercial mortgage can I also get a home mortgage on another property and this effect how I could?
Any information would be welcome.
Thank you
It depends on what the lease terms are, if it is a renewable short-term lease so you could fight that lenders have nothing to 'pin' on their safety.
if it is a long-term lease eg 70 years, then most commercial mortgage lenders look, depends on whether a new project for you if you may need to approach a mortgage lender commercial is a bit more flexible than a bank
try affordablemortgages.co.uk they can search in 80 commercial mortgage lenders at once - you can save a lot of time!
You can get a commercial mortgage lenders of a normal - all the major banks have them, with socieities building.
The fact that it should be widely leasehold acadmeic - provided that the lease is long enough (usually the life of the loan over 25 years). If the less you will need to discuss the case for it with a business management consultant or a bank.
Largely it will not affect your ability to obtain a home mortgage. The mortgage business is a business issue for your company. As long as you can afford to repay a residential mortgage and keep your business going it should go.
Note: this is just a guideline in response, much depends on your specific situation, and how much you are looking to borrow. Talk to a few banks and see what they have to say.
