Bridgewater Retirement

Bridgewater RetirementThe elimination of guilt is an essential step towards your financial freedom

Feelings of guilt arise when the mind tries to correct something that has happened in our past. Many people experience guilt at the thought of achieving financial freedom - after all, their parents and grandparents probably worked hard all their lives before they can think about retirement.

I really started to unlock the puzzle of guilt after playing an excellent audio class by David Neagle and have found this audio so precious that I will now give all subscribers Steps to Financial Freedom (courtesy David). Neagle says that if you've been educated to believe that security has come to work hard in your transactions limited time and valuable money saving for retirement and use those savings for retirement, then you probably a strong belief that money is a scarce and limited resources. I was raised this way and formed the belief that money is a very limited resource, I had to work very hard to acquire them and, therefore, life was something of a struggle.

This misconception is based on learning that if I was limited to trading my time is limited and precious money, the amount of money I could win would always be limited. However, the fundamental truth is that time is the scarce resource in life, not money - there is a virtually infinite amount of money in the world and earning more of it, you do not money aside for someone else or something else. When I really got the point "into the muscle" and not only mentally, everything began to change. Subconsciously, I had been blocking abundance and richness in the belief that money is a limited resource and if I reached financial freedom, I would somehow take money from others who were still "have" to trade in their limited time and precious money.

Shedding the guilt can be a challenge. Others may eat some of the guilt that you take steps to financial freedom and they begin to realize that you are successful as they begin to abandon their dreams. Sometimes this happens unconsciously and all you're left with a feeling of embarrassment that seems to put pressure on the relationship. Here's the thing - your peer group will almost certainly change as you start to move towards and achieve financial freedom. Guilt is a useless and unproductive emotion that you serve. Admit that it is there to teach you something powerful. In my case, it was the lesson about money being an abundant resource and time is the finite resource. Once you get this "in the muscle too and especially take actions based on learning, you will certainly be able to move forward and achieve financial freedom as a coach, trainer or therapist.
