Beach Rentals

I am preparing a "girlfriends getaway" weekend. we live in Fort Worth and would prefer not having to travel more than 5 or 6 hours. City or Galveston Bay is sufficiently valued by the hurricane to a good vacation spots? We want a relaxing weekend to just hang out. I also get a beach house or condo rental is not exorbitant price (perhaps 250-300/night max). Thoughts? Ideas?

Galveston is in good shape, and there are tons of rentals available. Just google "Galveston TX vacation rentals" and make your choice! You should not have much trouble finding a condo at a decent price, but it will cost you much more for a house. Summer is coming soon, so you must book quickly!
